MSWD Mission: Conservation - Plant Guide
Welcome to the Mission Conservation water-wise plant guide for the lower Colorado Desert region, including the Mission Springs Water District service area. As demand on our region’s limited water resources increases, it becomes more important that we make conservation our mission. Because up to 75 percent of our residential water is used outdoors, choosing water-efficient plants for your landscape can make a big impact in reducing consumption of this valuable, irreplaceable resource. This site does not list all plants that will grow in the Valley, but includes those known to perform well in this region. Select from more than 350 plants with over 800 photos to help you create your own water-conserving landscape. Join us in making conservation your mission!
